FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
EXHIBITING LOYALISMEPIC raises awareness of the experience of loyalist political prisoners over the past 33years reached new heights with the opening of our exhibition on the 13th October 1999, on the Shankill Road - Belfast, and its subsequent tour of the province. As part of EPIC's awareness strategy towards increasing understanding our multi media exhibition was launched, on the 13th October 1999, to coincide with the 5th anniversary of the loyalist ceasefire declaration. The exhibition received a tremendous amount of recognition for its human portrayal of loyalist political prisoners experiences of imprisonment. Experiences never before recorded. EPIC are intent on increasing awareness to enable an acceptable mode towards addressing the legacy of our violent conflict. Towards this end EPIC has taken on tour our exhibition 'The Experiences of Loyalist Political Prisoners'. To date it has appeared at venues in West Belfast, North Belfast, East Belfast, Armagh, and Londonderry. The exhibition is in 4 parts: a) Photographic and narration - Powerpoint Display b) Audio and visual - Media documentation c) Artefacts - actual items made in the prisons d) Drama and song - performed by Epic Theatre Company. Should you be in a position to host this social history experience of loyalist captivity we would be happy to discuss this unique development. Interested!
